All Hail the Duck King

Synopsis

Bill is preparing for the big studio exhibition. He feels the pressure to create art that defines him. Every time he tries to draw, he ends up drawing... a duck. And when he steps away from the canvas, he sees duck beaks and shapes in objects. Eventually, a little, childishly drawn yellow duck called Quack appears. Quack is the embodiment of Bill's inner child that escaped into the real world. It's only through embracing Quack that Bill relearns the joy of creativity and embraces his true self.

Directors' Biography

Tommy is a director and animator based in Bristol, UK. A graduate of the National Film and Television School, his graduation film All Hail the Duck King is currently screening at festivals. His work explores the pristine yet chaotic nature of children’s drawings.
