Freak of Nature

Synopsis

Freak of Nature is a stop motion animated short film about personal growth and the process of overcoming fear. A shy and lonely creature is too scared to leave the old circus cage it once was trapped in until it finds a little seedling to care for. In order to keep the little plant alive with soil, water and sunlight, the creature has to confront its fear of the world step by step. Both the tree and the creature‘s courage grow until there‘s no more room in the cage.

Directors' Biography

Alexandra Lermer is a freelance illustrator, concept artist and stop motion filmmaker based in Germany. She's been working as a designer for a range of international projects from short films to commercials as well as feature films ever since graduating.
