Mrs. Jaroslava shares her story of growing up with polio – a disease that stole part of her youth, but gave her friendships that lasted a lifetime. Polio is a viral infectious disease that can cause paralysis. The disease is almost eradicated today, but there are still people among us who suffer lifelong consequences after a polio epidemic. The movie shows just a few of those stories in a hopeful and slightly humorous way.
