Lost for Words

Synopsis

A chorale documentary that celebrates our relationships with nature, inspired by the best-selling illustrated book by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris. A scientific film with an artistic heart, it actively invites us to explore and reshape our anthropocentric point of view through an odyssey around the UK, where we meet artists, scientists, children, the elderly and all different people in between. Their words and philosophy drift organically through the four seasons. 

Directors' Biography

Graduated in Aesthetics and Cinema, Hannah directs since 2019. Her work explores ecology, identity, and memory through an artistic-scientific lens. With roots in experimental film, her shorts screened internationally. Lost for Words is her feature debut.
