SEEDS weaves together the stories of three Black generational farmers, offering an intimate portrait of their lives, joys, and struggles. From cotton harvesting to financial hardship, the film captures daily moments, broken machinery, candy from grandma, and car window chats, honoring their deep bond with land and legacy.
Brittany Shyne is an independent filmmaker from Dayton, Ohio. Working in narrative and non-fiction, her films explore themes of personal history, alienation, race, class, identity, and family, portraying the complexity of everyday life through a lyrical lens.
