Since fleeing war-torn Sarajevo in 1993, Lidija Zelović has documented her displaced family in the Netherlands. Her film essay explores the migrant’s duality: what is truly "home"? Blending family archives with Dutch political events, she contrasts intimate moments with rising polarization and right-wing politics.
Lidija Zelović, born in 1970 in Yugoslavia, studied Yugoslav literature and Serbo-Croatian at the University of Sarajevo. She worked at Bosnian TV from age 19. In 1993, she moved to the Netherlands, where she earned an MA in Film & TV Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
