Synopsis

Traversing the Andean Highlands, the Atacama Desert, and the coastal cliffs on the way to Iquique’s marginalized settlements and makeshift communities, UNWELCOMED unveils — through a choral narrative — the harsh reality of the Venezuelan migration crisis in Latin America, alongside the cultural clash and rising radicalization in northern Chile. 

Directors' Biography

Amílcar is a graduate of Bande À Part Film School and the founder of Amilcar Films. Sebastian is an economist and executive producer. Together, they are co-directing their debut feature and developing several documentary projects, including Julio Escamez, Nipon Takes, and the miniseries Photos.
