Within a singular photograph, Omarino and Aredomi emerge, their stories lost in the echoes of the rubber boom. This depiction sparks an exploration into my ancestral ties to the rubber industry. Their narratives intertwine in The Memory of Butterflies, a personal voyage that fuses reality with dream, history with imagination. This ethereal journey delves into the interconnections of authority, remembrance, accountability, and inheritance, all nestled within the vestiges of bygone days.

Directors' Biography

Tatiana Fuentes Sadowski is a Peruvian filmmaker blending experimental and documentary cinema. Her work explores memory, colonial histories, and healing. A Le Fresnoy alumna, her debut La memoria de las mariposas reflects her focus on archives and Indigenous storytelling through a poetic lens.
