Flutura explores body-extensions of Kosovar women, drawing from ancestral knowledge, embodied memory, and speculative technology. Rooted in “creative under limitation,” it reimagines traditional practices—like kange me tepsi—as analog technologies. The body becomes both archive and interface, where constraints birth new forms of expression and resistance.
Astrit Ismaili (1991) is a Kosovo-born performance artist based in Amsterdam. Their work explores body politics, identity, and voice through alter egos, wearable instruments, and sonic performance—challenging norms and imagining new, utopian forms of embodiment and representation.
