Synopsis

A visually striking silent film from 1933, Through Our Kosovo offers a rare glimpse into interwar life across the region. Directed by Dr. Drago Chloupek and shot by Aleksandar Gerasimov, it captures cities, villages, and diverse communities—Albanians, Serbs, Turks, Roma, and Jews—with lasting historical depth. 

Directors' Biography

Drago Chloupek (1899–1963) was a Yugoslav physician and public health pioneer. He led health campaigns in rural Kosovo while directing the Pristina Health Center (1928–1932). His 1933 film Through Our Kosovo blends medicine, education, and cinema into a key early documentary work.
